Candle tips and safety

  • Always trim wick to 5mm before lighting. This will ensure your candle burns with optimum efficiency
  • To get the best from your candle and to avoid tunnelling, always burn until the wax melts on the top and forms an even melt pool the first time you light it (usually 2/3 hours depending on size)
  • It’s tempting, but we recommend you don’t burn your candle right down to the last drop of wax, leave 5mm of wax in the container
  • We recommend that you snuff out the candle, don’t blow it out
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended
  • Always burn candles out of reach of children and pets
  • To avoid the jars becoming too hot, never burn a candle for longer than 3 hours at a time, our 60ml candles, no more than 2 hours.
  • Never burn your candles near anything flammable
  • Never burn your candles in or near a draught
  • Keep the wax pool clear of spent matches and other debris, these may act as additional wicks that can cause flaring and burn your candle more quickly.
